Park Overview
This is the oldest of the Morris County parks, has multiple use trails; adjacent to the Morristown National Historical Park with several connecting trails, including the Patriots’ Path.
Trail Overview
The park has eight blazed trails. Most of these are multiple-use trails open to hikers, horses, and mountain bikers. A six-mile-long yellow-blazed trail circles the perimeter of the park, and several connecting trails facilitate shorter loop hikes. The park is also traversed by the Patriots' Path, which extends southeast into the Morristown National Historical Park.

Park Description
This 2,195-acre county park, which borders on the Jockey Hollow area of the Morristown National Historical Park on the northeast, is named for New Jersey's first governor. It is the oldest of Morris County parks, and offers hiking, camping, picnicking, lake swimming, ballfields, sledding, and ski touring. The Sunrise Lake area is the center of water recreation. Dogs on leashes, except in the dog park.
